As a veteran in the newspaper and local media industry, Christian Hendricks has seen it all -transformations and pivots that have shaped how local businesses promote their business and how communities interact with them.
Christian sits down with Localogy Senior Analyst Mike Boland to chat about the current state of the newspaper industry and how technology has aided in the development of data-driven journalism and shifted revenue streams from print to digital.

Christian Hendricks joined the Local Media Consortium (LMC) team January of 2018. In his current role, he works with the LMC team to drive value for LMC members through the development of valuable partnerships with market-leading service providers.
He is a well-known and highly-respected media executive having served a 25-year executive stint at McClatchy and has also served on boards of many for-profit and non-profit companies and organizations such as Cars.com, Careerbuilder, News Media Alliance and Local Media Consortium. Chris currently serves on the board of directors for Moonlighting, Wellness Within and the Local Media Foundation. He is also an advisor to Impact Venture Capital and Managing Director for Extol Digital.
In his spare time Chris enjoys playing soccer, a good glass of wine and murky IPAs. When home, he also tries to maintain his daily habit of playing at least one game on his Theatre of Magic pinball machine.
